Cut the Ties
Who leads the Democrats

Kick out Hakeem Jeffries

Hakeem Jeffries runs the Democrats in the House. After the midterm wave, House Democrats vote on whether he keeps the job. If your representative is a Democrat, that vote is theirs to cast, and a call from you lands before they decide.

Decision: Nov 18, 2026

The basics

What is going on

Who is Hakeem Jeffries? He leads the Democrats in the House of Representatives. After every election, House Democrats vote on who leads them. If Democrats hold the majority in January, that leader becomes Speaker of the House, the person who decides which bills get a vote at all.

Why does this matter for Israel? The leader decides whether the party fights a bill or waves it through. This year's military bill has a section that ties US troops and weapons to Israel's military for the long haul, and Jeffries has not promised to fight it. A leader who will not fight it means the party never votes on it.

What can you do? Only House Democrats vote on their leader, and they make up their minds in private calls before the meeting. If your representative is a Democrat, call and ask them to vote for a new leader unless Jeffries makes that promise in public. If your representative is a Republican, this one is not yours; your senators or your state are.

What we are asking for

Your representative votes for a new leader unless Jeffries promises, in public, to stop Israel's integration into the US military.
